Calling All Knitters to Help Highlight Domestic Violence
Mothers’ Union would like to ask all those who enjoy knitting to become part of a ‘Chain Reaction’ to highlight the growing number of incidents related to domestic violence being reported across the county of Devon in the past few years. They would like help to create knitted chains, to ‘cast on 60 stitches, knit 6 rows and then cast off’ [size 8 or 4mm needles]. All completed knitted chains can be delivered to the Diocese of Exeter Mothers’ Union Office before the end of October 2025. This will allow time for the chains to be attached together. Please email the Mothers’ Union Office to arrange a drop-off time: [email protected]
See the latest Roots and Shoots newsletter from the diocese for more details.
