SUMMARY:Beating the Bounds
DESCRIPTION:The first third of this ancient custom will be starting at 1000 on Sat 7 Oct from the Dartmoor Inn at Merrivale and finishing at the Whitchurch Inn. This centuries-old tradition was used to remind local communities of their boundaries. Distance approx 6 miles\, children welcome accompanied by an adult\, bring picnic lunch. DESCRIPTION:COME AND SEE WEEKEND\n\nOn  Saturday the 11th of November\, our benefice will support the Exeter Diocese Come and See initiative.  This is to open our churches to the local communities within the Devon area\, for anyone who does not normally go to church. It will give them the opportunity to Come and See the work and opportunities of Mission we do within our areas.\n\nThings that we will be doing on this day starting at 10:50 am\n\n1. Small act of remembrance at the Meavy War memorial with the 2 minutes of silence\n2. Refreshments are served at Meavy church\, where we can see local displays of how the church is supporting the environment (ECO church)\n3. A talk about the SSAFA  (Armed Forces charity)\n4. A walk from Meavy to Burrator Reservoir and Sheepstor church ending with refreshments\n\nPlease do come and support this day\, and tell all in your local area.
