DESCRIPTION:This Lent join four people walking ‘The Way’ of St John to Santiago de Compostela through a film starring Martin Sheen.  A Mission Community film-based course starts on 23 Feb by showing the film at 14:30 at St Paul’s Yelverton.  Come and see the film before deciding if you want to make this pilgrimage too.  In 2015 the Archbishop of Canterbury when asked ‘what are you doing for Lent said ‘It’s not what are ‘you’ doing [singular] but what are ‘you’ doing [plural] that Christ puts to us’.

The shield vanished only to re-appear recently in the bottom of a box of dusty church records! Plasterdown Grouped Parish Council decided to re-invigorate this event to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III on the anniversaries of VE Day and 50 years since the formation of the Parish Council.

Spend time in prayer \n15:30 walk to St Johns Horrabridge approximately 40 minutes.  Spend time in prayer \n16:45 walk back to St Pauls Yelverton approximately 40 minutes\, End with Evening prayer \nThis is weather dependant of course.   The timings are not specific as we will not rush to get to each place.   Please do bring plenty of refreshments\, walking shoes and lunch with you.   Everyone is very welcome to join and support with the prayer. \nIf anyone would only like to part of the walk then please do join where you wish.  Dogs\, horses\, cats and sheep very welcome also  🙂 \nAppreciate we are not going to Sampford Spiney on this occasion\, but we will keep them in our prayers throughout the day.

The shield vanished only to re-appear recently in the bottom of a box of dusty church records! Plasterdown Grouped Parish Council decided to re-invigorate this event to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III on the anniversaries of VE Day and 50 years since the formation of the Parish Council.
