Message from the rector

Due to Covid lockdown restrictions; the increase in infection and death rates; the age, social and health, demographic of our worshipping communities; and many other factors, the Ministry Team, Churchwardens, and PCCs have decided to close all our churches to public worship until Feb 15th.

Our church at Yelverton, however, will continue to open for Private Prayer on Sundays and Wednesdays from 1200 till 1500. If you attend at this time please abide by the social distancing and hygiene regulations, whilst also wearing a face covering. All our churches will still be available for funerals as and when required.

On Feb 15th, in line with the government’s review, the Risk Assessments and general situation will be re-visited and reviewed. We take this action with the support of the Bishop and the Archdeacon, and with significant sorrow and regret, but we feel overwhelmingly that this is the best course of action for us at this time to give everyone the opportunity to stay at home, and stay safe, while the vaccination programme continues to be rolled out.

Please continue to be assured of our prayers for you and our communities at this time. I ask you to please pray for us too.
